Phil Ryder (also known as Phil Whitehead)
Phil has been writing songs on and off throughout his adult life. He's been concentrating on it in the last five years.
His style has been evolving throughout and he's been working hard writing loads more and getting them recorded. Some songs are swing-style, some are ballads, some upbeat. Some people think there's a musical theatre quality to them, but perhaps the best description is 'Classical pop'.
Lots of songs will be released in the near future. Phil sings some himself, but he mostly he likes to have professional singers record them when he thinks they can add something extra.
Terrific singers Anabel Mather, Olivia Barker, Aaron Frith, Terry Brown, Virginia Ruspini and Christopher Haul have all recorded several of Phil's songs.Â
More songs will feature on this site before long, which we now aim to update more regularly! So keep your eyes open, and feel free to get in touch and make any  comments or questions.
Anabel Mather
Anabel is a final-year music student at Farnham University of the Creative Arts and was recommended to Phil by the Music Director there. She has a superb voice, which is most expressive and gives her rendition of any song her personal stamp.
Two of Phil's songs which she's recorded have been released, Tribute to Captain Sir Tom Moore, and Can't Say Goodbye. She's recorded several more which will be released before long. The next one will be a Christmas song for release in December 2021.
Aaron Frith
Aaron is a great swing-style singer from Kent.
He's recorded 5 of Phil's songs.
In April 2020 he appeared on Britain's Got Talent and his performance very much pleased the judges, including Simon Cowell.  He gained many fans through that!
Olivia Barker
Olivia is a Scottish singer, living on the Isle of Arran
She has been a keen singer throughout her teenage years, and, while at Heriot-Watt university, Edinburgh she had singing lessons, which certainly show in her singing, which have given her a assured classical style!
She does gigs, mainly on the Isle of Arran. She's working on recording a CD of Phil's songs. To date 9 have been released, including the popular 'Isle of Arran'. More will follow soon.
Virginia Ruspini
Virginia is Italian and has just finished a degree in music and drama in London. She has a lovely voice, very expressive, and has recorded three of Phil's songs, one in both English and French - she's fluent in French as well as Italian and English.
Terry Brown
Terry is a professionally-trained baritone who lives in Farnham, Surrey.
His professional training is very apparent in his recordings of four of Phil's songs, which have all been released.
Christopher Haul
A contemporary pop singer from south Wales with quite a following.
Chris is based in London and has recorded and released several of his own songs in addition to one Phil and he collaborated on, which Phil released.
He regularly sings at gigs.
